Last week I had conducted my 3rd solo paintings show titled – Purnaah (The Completeness) at Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Worli Mumbai.
The theme was based on Ardhanarishvara is a composite androgynous form of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. It is shown as a fusion of the feminine and masculine energies of the cosmos and also illustrates how Shakti, the Sacred Feminine, is inseparable from Shiva, the male principle of God.
This form also symbolizes ‘Purnah’ (The completeness) of not just an outer body but also inner mind and soul. Thus every single human being is a pure example of this beautiful concept of life. My humble attempt to depict the same through this painting show.
YourStory.com is India’s biggest and definitive platform for startups and entrepreneurs related stories as well as news. I had got an opportunity to contribute a series of web-cartoon called ‘Mind Your Business’ on daily basis. Here are few selected ones –
When Amir Khan publicly shared his wife’s fear about growing insecurity in the country, he was criticised by masses including his fans. Next, the aftermath followed by his sudden removal as brand ambassador of Snapdeal and subsequently Incredible India and replaced him by Big B quite swiftly!
Just before the Bihar assembly elections; there was wave of returning awards by renowned/unknown liberals, intellectuals and celebrates to condemn the so called growing intolerance in the country. I published my take on the same through my own cartoon title called ‘You Nailed It!’
I have recently done these two cartoons for one in-flight magazine. I chose the subject of similar ‘Aviation’ industry and tried to show funnier side of it.
When PM Modi swiped the general elections with clear mandate and dumped the Congress party. Ironically, he had to face similar situation in Delhi polls against AAP. which he never imagined!
Yesterday in cowardly attack on Charlie Hebdo office, Paris 12 people were killed including the publisher and 3 famous cartoonists. Being a cartoonist I must show my solidarity to condemn this act of fanatics. Here I pay my tribute to those brave soul who were never scared of death. Thank you Firstpost for publishing it!
